When the Central line broke - water and bench

So Hannah had to walk from Lancaster Gate home today because the Central line broke and all the buses were full and everyone was pushing and then a dog got twisted between her legs. So she decided to spice up her walk home with some light photo scavenger hunting. Jon's wizzy random list app provided the inspiration.....water and bench.

Of course Hannah (top) did have the walk between LG and home to find her pictures whereas Jon's phone was charging so he had to make do with a 50cm radius. Hannah's wet footprints do beat Jon's Mushroom watering instructions though. The instructions were inspired but out of focus and Hannah's picture looks cool!

Hannah (top) does lose points here as this was actually taken when she got home. Jon's photo is a bit blurry but it was dark and I think he wins this one. Mind you taking pictures of words is a trick you could overplay and should be used with caution!

Our House, Acton - Quick-Fire Round - Tree

This Quick-Fire Round came about when we had 10 minutes to wait till our dinner was ready.

Using the free Mystery List app for his preposterous iPhone, Jon was able to randomly choose..... TREE.

Hannah's dead basil plant, whilst a damning indictment of our horticultural prowess, cannot compete with Jon's articulation of this fine Lakeland landscape. However, is a photo of a picture cheating? Discuss.

Eurostar departures, Gare du Nord

A little time to waste while our train home is delayed, so time for a quick-fire bonus round.......TREE

Both went for a l'Occitane theme here. Despite Jon's finger being in shot (bottom) his mystical looking shot reminds us of those pictures people take that make real sized things look like little models. He wins!

Montjuïc Parc - Water

Hannah wins with her ever-so-slightly phallic representation of water; an interesting angle over a fountain.

Despite pontificating over his verticals with the last post, Jon was less impressed with Hannah's view submission (top). Whilst Hannah likes her Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe reference she is willing to submit to him on this occasion. Jon wins with this boa vista, shame the fountain wasn't on though!

Montjuïc Parc - Tree

Whilst Hannah's close-up is visually interesting, Jon's purity of composition (in particular, his attention to the verticals) adds a frisson to an otherwise dull photo. This has to be a draw! Our first!

Montjuïc Parc - People

Hannah's picture of the kids is cute but Jon's Bus Turistic exemplifies the place and is a sort of evidence of people as much as a picture of people. He also likes the fact that there are very few people on this bus. Jon wins.

Montjuïc Parc - Gate

Controversial pictures here. Both Hannah (top) and Jon (bottom) took pictures of ironwork, not strictly of gates! However, Hannah still wins for interesting angle of composition.

Montjuïc Parc - Flower

Hannah (top) had a crafty idea but nothing beats Jon's colour and composition here. Also Hannah's picture includes a bit of her finger, never good. Jon's first win!

Our first photo scavenger hunt!! - Montjuïc Parc

So our first hunt was in Montjuïc Parc in Barcelona after we got there on the furnicular. The time limit was whilst we were in the park, even though we had all that time we didn't take pictures of everything on the list, silly us.
